Did you know? SATELC is a semi-public company (société d'économie mixte) whose majority shareholder is the municipality of La Clusaz. All of its shareholders are based in the village! As a result, all of our profits are reinvested locally: a genuine short circuit that truly makes sense.

Climate

Cutting our CO2 emissions by 95% from November 2025, thanks to the widespread use of HVO fuel across our vehicles and machinery.
Strengthening our decarbonisation fund to finance projects that reduce GHG emissions.
Securing our electricity supply from local solar and hydroelectric power for the long term.
Limiting visitor emissions (Scope 3) through HVO fuel on-site and incentive offers for train, bus and carpooling.

Resources & biodiversity

Supporting our service providers in adopting HVO fuel in their contract specifications.
Reducing our textile footprint by choosing TRICOLOR, an eco-responsible French brand.
Sustainably optimising the ski area: dismantling outdated infrastructure and limiting slope grooming.
Restoring affected areas and preserving local biodiversity.
Working with associations and researchers to design environmentally friendly infrastructure.

Social & diversification

Doubling seasonal worker housing by 2030 to improve quality of life.
Balancing skiing and non-skiing activities, with a new activity added every season, in line with climate challenges.
Target: 40% non-skiing activities by 2040 to diversify our tourism offer.
Setting up a strategic investment fund to support profitable, sustainable projects in tourism and beyond.

Commitment to the 2024 Alps Climate Business Convention: a strong move to accelerate our ecological transition and contribute concrete solutions to climate challenges.
