which ski lifts are accessible to people with reduced mobility in summer?

All four ski lifts open in summer at La Clusaz are accessible to people with reduced mobility. The Patinoire and Beauregard gondolas are also accessible to wheelchair users. The Crêt du Merle and Crêt du Loup chairlifts, however, are not accessible to wheelchair users.

Are the luge runs accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Which ski lifts are open in summer?

In summer, four ski lifts are open at La Clusaz: the Beauregard gondola, the Crêt du Merle chairlift, the Crêt du Loup chairlift, and the Patinoire gondola. To check the opening hours of each lift, you can click here.

What activities can I enjoy thanks to the ski lifts?

The ski lifts give you access to a wide range of activities. You can bring your mountain bike and enjoy the marked trails, go hiking or simply explore the mountains. La Luge des Prés and the new Débaroule track are also waiting for you, accessible via the Patinoire gondola. For thrill-seekers, La Bascule, our giant swing at the top of the Crêt du Loup chairlift, as well as the new Le Kart du Dahu located in the same area.

Some passes also include access to the Immersive & Interactive Space at La Gare de Beau Regard, located at the foot of the Beauregard gondola.

How can I use the ski lifts?

Several options are available to access the ski lifts, depending on your activity: for La Luge des Prés, simply purchase one or more rides, then make your way to the Patinoire gondola departure point to start the adventure. For hiking or mountain biking, you can choose a pass giving you unlimited access to the ski lifts (excluding luge runs), valid for 3 hours, one day, or several days. You can also buy a single ride on the lift of your choice — the descent is free!

Where can I buy my pass / single ride / luge ticket?

You can purchase your passes at the Crêt du Merle main ticket office (1 July to 30 August: 9:15am – 5:15pm) and at the Champ Giguet ticket office opposite the ice rink (1 July to 30 August: 9:15am – 6:30pm). On opening weekends in June and September, the Champ Giguet ticket office is open from 1:45pm to 5:30pm. You can also buy or top up your passes at the self-service kiosks near the ticket offices.

How much does a bike park pass cost?

The day pass costs €23.50 for adults (aged 15 and over) and €19.00 for juniors (aged 5 to 14). It is free for children under 5 (on presentation of proof of age). To view all prices, click here.

Are there group rates?

Where can we eat in summer at altitude in La Clusaz?

The mountain works up an appetite! On the Crêt du Merle side, Chez Arthur awaits you at the top of the chairlift, while at the summit of the Crêt du Loup, the Relais de l'Aiguille offers a breathtaking panorama.

On the Beauregard plateau with its 360° views, the choice is generous: le 1647 with its lovely sunny terrace welcomes hikers at the gondola arrival point, and le Grizzly, a typical mountain restaurant, is just a short walk away. Along your walking route, les Matins Clairs and la Ferme des Corbassières are ideal for a snack or a meal centred around farm cheeses (booking required), all with stunning views of the Aravis mountain range.

Terms and validity

I purchased a single ride on the Beauregard gondola — is there a time limit to use it?

Single rides are valid throughout the current summer season, from the opening to the closing of the ski lifts. Please note: a ride purchased during summer 2026 will not be valid for summer 2027.

How long is a season pass valid for?

The season pass is valid for the entire summer season, from the first to the last day the ski lifts are open. It gives you unlimited access to the ski lifts throughout that period. Please note that, like all our passes, the season pass does not include access to La Luge des Bois or La Luge des Prés, which require a separate ticket — except for holders of an Intégral season pass purchased during early-bird sales, who receive one complimentary La Luge des Bois ride.

Age categories

My child is under 5 — do I need to buy them a pass?

Access to the ski lifts is free for children under 5. However, a pass is still required to access the facilities: you must therefore obtain one for your child, even at no cost, on presentation of proof of age. Regarding the card: as the pass is digital, it requires a rechargeable hands-free card. If you already have one, you simply need to top it up. If not, a card must be purchased for €2.

My son will turn 8 / 15 during our stay — which rate applies to his pass?

The age taken into account for the rate is the child's age on the first day of validity of the pass. For example, a child who turns 15 on 23 July and purchases a week pass starting on 21 July will benefit from the junior rate (under 15) for the full duration of the pass. However, if the pass starts on 23 July (their birthday) or later, an adult pass will be required.

Hands-free card

Is it compulsory to buy a card for €2?

No — if you already have a hands-free card, you can simply top it up via our website or at one of the self-service kiosks available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day at the Crêt du Merle or Champ Giguet ticket offices. Once purchased, you can top up your card as many times as you like, online or at the kiosks, without queuing at the ticket office. For single rides purchased at the ticket office, they are provided on a free recyclable disposable card.

I already have a hands-free card — can I use it this summer?

Yes, of course! Using our website or one of the self-service kiosks available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day at the Crêt du Merle or Champ Giguet ticket offices, you can top up your card directly with the product of your choice (even if it's not a La Clusaz card! The number on the side just needs to start with 01-1614).

What is La Luge des Bois?

Where can I buy my luge tickets?

You can purchase your luge tickets in three ways: online, via our website, before your arrival. On-site, directly at the kiosks near the luge — card payment only. At the main ticket office at Crêt du Merle, or at the Champ Giguet ticket office where our team is on hand to help.

I bought a multi-ride luge card — is there a time limit to use the rides?

Multi-ride cards are valid during summer 2026 and summer 2027, giving you complete freedom to choose the perfect moment to use them.

What are the regulations for La Luge des Bois?

Here are the safety rules for La Luge des Bois: Under 90cm, use of the luge is not permitted. Between 90cm and 1.30m, the luge is permitted but only accompanied by a person aged 15 or over. From 1.30m, the luge may be used independently. Up to 1.45m, a child may be accompanied by an adult. Maximum weight on the luge: 130kg. Access is not permitted for pregnant women. Animals are not allowed on La Luge des Bois. Two adults may not share the same luge. Two-person luges are reserved for transporting a child under 1.45m and their accompanying adult. La Luge des Prés

How does La Luge des Prés work?

There are two luge runs, each 800m long: one is reserved for beginners, and the other for more experienced riders. To enjoy your luge ride, you will need to take the Patinoire gondola.

Do I need to book for La Luge des Prés?

No, no booking is required for La Luge des Prés. To make the most of the activity, we recommend coming in the morning to avoid the crowds.

In the event of a shower, our teams test and clean the luge run using special luges. If the track becomes too fast or unpredictable, it is temporarily closed as a precaution. A few clouds on the forecast? It might be the perfect moment to discover the Immersive Space at La Gare de Beau Regard!

Payment and refunds

What payment methods are accepted online and at the ticket office?

At the ticket office: cash, VISA and MASTERCARD bank cards, cheques, ANCV holiday vouchers and ANCV e-connect. Online, payments can be made by: Visa and Mastercard bank card (as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay), ANCV Connect holiday vouchers.

Can I get a refund on my card at the end of my stay?

No — like the vast majority of resorts, we do not charge a deposit on cards, as they can be reused on your future stays at our resort or at other resorts using the Skidata system (the most widely used). Remember to take them with you for your next visit!

I bought a 10-ride luge card but only used 6 rides — can I get a refund for the 4 unused rides?

No — once a card has been used, it cannot be refunded.

Do you accept holiday vouchers?

Yes, all ticket offices accept ANCV holiday vouchers and e-connect, but cannot give change.

Do you accept ANCV sport vouchers?

We do not accept ANCV sport vouchers. However, ANCV paper holiday vouchers and ANCV Connect are accepted both at the ticket office and online.

Do you accept American Express?

We do not accept American Express. Card payments are limited to Visa and Mastercard, both at the ticket office and online.

The mountain is for sharing

What advice should I follow before going hiking?

A few simple precautions will help you make the most of your outing safely: check the weather forecast before you leave and let someone know your planned route. The Tourist Office is also available to advise you. Dress appropriately: walking boots, water, food, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat or cap… and a warm layer, even in summer! Stick to marked paths, avoid shortcuts that damage vegetation and disturb wildlife, and move quietly to preserve the peace of nature and fellow hikers. Admire the flowers without picking them, and take all your rubbish with you when you leave.

How can I help preserve the mountain?

The mountain is a living and fragile space, shared by hikers, farmers, livestock and wildlife. A few simple gestures are all it takes to protect it: before leaving, check that no litter has fallen from your bag — a forgotten wrapper is a blemish on the landscape for those who come after you. Stay on marked paths to protect flowers, pastures and sensitive areas… and to avoid getting lost! Drinking troughs are for animals: avoid washing or cooling down in them to preserve their drinking water. A hello on a trail, a thoughtful gesture, a respectful attitude — these are the small things that make this place harmonious. Thank you for doing your part!

How should I behave around a patou?

The patou is that big white dog you might feel like cuddling… but don't be fooled! It is above all a guard dog that takes its role very seriously. When it senses danger, it barks, approaches and positions itself between you and the flock. Adopt the right behaviour and it will calm down quickly and return to its herd. Signal your presence from a distance so as not to startle it: talk, whistle, hum. If possible, give the flock a wide berth. If the dog approaches, stop, avoid making direct eye contact and speak to it calmly. You can hold your rucksack or cap in front of you, between you and the dog. If you are on a mountain bike, dismount as early as possible and walk alongside it — you can also place the bike between you and the dog.

Can I take my dog hiking?

The mountain can be a wonderful adventure for your four-legged friend… as long as you take a few precautions. In the presence of livestock, keep your dog on a lead — it's the only way to control its instinctive reactions. If you encounter a guard dog, let go of the lead: this allows them to interact and establish their relationship naturally. Pulling on the lead, on the contrary, makes the situation worse. If you have a small dog, do not pick it up: you would be putting yourself in danger by getting between the two dogs. Prevent your dog from chasing livestock or jumping into drinking troughs — contaminated water is no longer drinkable for the animals. Ideally, avoid taking your dog into grazing areas. These magnificent spaces — let's make sure everyone can enjoy them!

Mountain weather conditions

Why might some ski lifts be closed due to weather?

In the mountains, wind can be much stronger than in the village. The higher the altitude, the fewer obstacles it encounters (trees, buildings…) and the more it intensifies. We measure wind speed in metres per second, and here is what that means in practice: between 10 and 15 m/s (36 to 54 km/h), some facilities are slowed down, such as La Bascule. Above 20 m/s (72 km/h), we must stop the majority of the ski lifts to ensure your safety. This decision is made in real time, based on conditions measured at the summit, which can be very different from what you feel at the bottom. A good habit: check the weather forecast before heading up, especially if you are planning a bike descent or any activity at altitude.

Why is it colder at altitude, even in the height of summer?

It's a simple law of physics: the higher you go, the colder it gets. On average, the temperature drops by 0.6 to 1°C every 100 metres of elevation gain. In practical terms, if it is 25°C at 1,000 metres, it may only be 19°C at 2,000 metres. The reason? Air is less dense at altitude and retains heat less effectively. As a result, even in summer, you can find yourself in cool — or even quite cold — conditions, especially in the morning or in the shade. Our advice: always pack a fleece and a windproof jacket… and leave the flip-flops at home. A good pair of trainers is your best friend in the mountains!

What happens in the event of a thunderstorm?

Even if the sky still looks calm, our sensors can detect storm risk well before the first clap of thunder. As soon as a risk is identified, we immediately stop all ski lifts to eliminate any lightning-related danger. This is a strict procedure, applied without delay by our teams — because your safety always comes first.

In summary: what should I do if some facilities are closed due to weather?

Mountain conditions can change quickly: wind, rain, storms, temperature… Some facilities may be temporarily closed, always in your best interest. Not to worry: our teams on-site and at the ticket offices are available to keep you informed in real time and guide you towards accessible activities. Your safety remains our absolute priority.

Miscellaneous

Can I take my dog on the ski lifts?

Dogs are permitted on: the Beauregard gondola, the Patinoire gondola, the Crêt du Merle chairlift, and the Crêt du Loup chairlift. They must be kept on a lead. Please keep a close eye on your dog during the ascent and descent.

Can I take my baby / child under 2 on the ski lifts?

Yes, babies can use the ski lifts. On chairlifts, they must be carried in a front baby carrier attached to their parent. If the child can sit unaided and no longer fits in a front baby carrier, they may sit next to their parent. To protect their sensitive little ears, consider giving them a dummy or breastfeeding during the ascent (only possible on the gondola). Avoid altitude if your child has a cold or sinusitis. Protect them well from the sun with UV-protective glasses and sunscreen, even when it is overcast. Keep them well hydrated, as the air is drier at altitude. Check the weather forecast before setting off and pack warm, waterproof clothing. Finally, consult your doctor before your trip to make sure everything is in order.
